Just got this now:

The invite says:

"We want you to be the first to experience New Zealand's newest mobile network.

Joun us as we flick the switch on XT!

In celebration of this world class launch we will be lighthing up a local icon in a spectacular display, the likes of which have nerver before been seen in New Zealand.

Add you'll also be able to explore the possibilities of XT by test driving it by yourself"

It's a shame I won't be attending - the Geekzone crew and others will be in Sydney on that date.

Look closer: Town Hall, Skycity Tower, rays, envelopes. I will get a screenshot posted soon...

I must be old and grumpy: I thought "Load of shapeless plastic crap with no obvious function".

If I put on a slight accent and act geeky, I could so pass as a Mauricio Freitas Tongue out

Our very own Moderator Emeritus Tony Hughes is going to fly to Auckland to represent Geekzone at the media launch and later on that day at the launch party.

At the media launch he'll be briefed on the new plans, handset lineup and have the chance to ask questions to the Telecom management...

Lucky guy - all this while the rest of the crew is in Sydney for CeBIT.

Do anyone actually work here?
