Is telecom's new xt network going to support the visual voicemail feature on the iPhone3G? vodafone doesn't offer visual voicemail for it's iPhone customers.

At the moment we don't even know what handsets will be available on the new network, so it is impossible to say some very specific feature such as visual voicemail would be available.

Its unlikely (but not impossible) for XT to to supporting visual voicemail. If Telecom is going to offer the iPhone, then they have kept it under wraps very very well.

I would expect it to have been leaked by now if they were going to.

iPhone 3G will however work just fine on XT if your handset is unlocked.

Does any phone other than the iPhone support Visual Voicemail? If not I can't imagine them wasting the resources on it, but you never know.

I have a feeling that XT will have iPhones, as the other day I noticed that the TelecomNZ twitter was posted from an iPhone/iPod touch application so unless he's using an ipod touch maybe we might see an iPhone on XT

That makes no sense. Whatever an employee uses as his personal phone has no implication on what the company will be launching.

iPod Touch is a great device. I have one at home that I use for casual browsing and messaging mainly on the couch.

iPhones can run on XT, and I would expect many staff are using iPhones as a personal choice now.

It's certainly no indication that Telecom will "have" the iPhone.
