Is there anyone here living in Flatbush area that waiting for a exchange gap to get your internet installed?

I've moved to flat bush for about 3 months and told my ISP to have my internet moved to my new place since then. And now 3 month after, I'm still waiting my internet to be installed....the only stupied reason my ISP gave me is there's no extra gaps on local exchange to fit me in, and I'm in an Long-term waiting list which means I may still need to wait another 6 month or something to get my internet installed...and that's telecom's problem as they manage all the exchanges....

I'm totally hopeless now, three months without internet makes me like living in another world, it's just so bad!

Is there anyone working in telecom charging for installing exchange or fitting people to their local exchanges? or at least someone who is having the same WAITING situation as me? Is there any thing I can do to accelerate that.....?

Why telecom's so slow fitting new exchanges in new area? I believe I'm not the only guy waiting for that, my friend moved this area more than half years ago and they were in the long waiting list as well, fortunately they moved to somewhere else now...

Please do something TELECOM!!!

I dont think you can do anything to accelerate your situation but if you are anxious to get an internet connection you could have a look at wireless temporarily until more gaps become available in your exchange. Just a thought.

Edit: Hmm, can't delete my post (I had a little query here but I realised that it wasn't relevant).

Have you had a look at this page on the telecom website?  I'm picking that if you are on the longterm waiters list then you will be connected off a cabinet, that site will tell you when the cabinet is due for an upgrade.  When the upgrades are done the long term waiters will in most cases be accounted for and enough capacity added for those customers.
In the mean time you can only but wait for a DSL port to become spare sorry :)
