When you request telecom broadband plan change, does your current usage follow you to your new plan, or does it reset when it changes?

Also, what price will you be paying? the old plan's price or new plan's price?

When you change plans i.e from 10GB to 20GB you get to use a total of 30GB forthe month plus you only pay for the part month (reffered to as pro rata) for the time you've had each plan. So, if you changed from Explorer ($49.95) to Adventure ($59.95) in the exact middle of your billing cycle you would only pay $5 extra but get the extra 20GB usage. It also works when changing down, so in the above example, but if changing down, you can get the extra 10GB and a credit of $5. it's a pretty sweet deal

So once changed, your usage allowance will be (old plan + new plan). Would the usage meter show eg total of 30gb once you changed from explorer to adventure?

You still keep your old usage on the total allowance then?

When You change plan (which you can only do once a month) your usage resets to zero and your usage meter will show the data allocation for the new plan only. However if you are on a plan that charges for excess usage and you go over your allocation then move to a new plan you will still have to pay the excess usage charges.
Hope that clarifies things a bit.

eg if you are on a pro plan, u can do 39.9 GB then change plan down to adventure, your meter resets to 0 and gets extra 20gb for the rest of the month? :P

I believe so.

It was certianly the case with me when I changed from adventure to pro a while back.

I suppose if you were carefully monitoring the situation you could manipulate the plan changes by changing up or down every month to get large amounts of data for free. would be a pretty big pain in the butt though.

Sorry about bumping an old topic, but I'm just curious if you can also change your plan to the exact same plan you're on at the moment. When you go to the order form it lists your current plan as well, so I was wondering if you could just change to that to double your usage and pay the same amount?

Excuse my ignorance but what are these plans @ $49.95 for 10GB and $59.95 for 20GB respectively?! All I see on the XT site are $54.95 for 1GB, etc...

Afraid not, they will only allow you to change to a different plan from your existing plan.
