Who will be signing up for a 12 - 24 month contract on the long awaited XT network
or will be waiting to see the maybe more competitive pricing of 2 degrees?

I will wait it out and see what each provider has on offer and port to the best pricing offer that suits my needs

that would be an ecumenical matter

Same here, my contact with voda runs out in September so 2 degrees should be up and running.

I might be signing up for a new contract soon, as I'm ditching the company-supplied number, but I may go for a pre-pay thing until it's all out.

My contract is only $50 to break in July so i'll be waiting to see what all the telcos offer at that stage and make a decision. In the current environment i will be going from vodafone on account to vodafone prepay due to Family and Bestmate addons..... but who knows what XT and 2degrees might offer, they could offer free mobiles and better deals :)

I always believe in supporting the underdog. Provided 2 Degrees has better pricing on plans and handsets I will be switching my business to them. Likewise friends and family. Telecom and Vodafone have been shafting mobile consumers for far to long.

Just to mark my 250th post, I'd like to say that I share similar views with ajw. While I did not have big issues with Vodafone (being a corporate customer), I do think competition will bring better quality services to us, and I'm all up for being surprised (in a good way, of course).

I'll jump ship immediately to XT pending a voice quality test and providing the plans are similar to Flexi and not a step backwards to "free bundles"

I want the nationwide 850MHz 3G-or-nothing coverage versus the flaky 2100/gsm/900 which fails to penetrate my house and seems to be still patchy.

Depending on 2Degrees's pricing and call-quality, I'll certainly look at a voice connection.

I'll be going to XT. 2° piggybacks off Vodafone and there's no coverage where I live.

Will be waiting for 2degrees to release their plans in August, before making a decision whether to stay with Telecom or go with 2degrees.

Staying with Telecom. Looking forward to WCDMA 3G data coverage everywhere (that I need it)

2Deg actually have their own network, not just like the resellers. (black and white/compass for example)

I'm in the hills above Whakatane and I can get Telecom CDMA. To get a Vodafone signal I need to stand on the driveway.

Im still on contract till september ish, and im keen to see what 2deg has. If i dont get a resonable subsidy on the XT network (im talking $299 disc) then chances are I'll stay with my current CDMA phone unless vodafone or 2deg do something special.
