Casual data rate is $1/10MB, or you can get a data plan for; $6/20MB ($3/10MB rofl), $12/120MB ($1/10MB what's the point), $18/240MB (0.75$/10MB ooooh a 25% discount). So, if you do sign up for a plan you pay more or the same - unless you take the most expensive option in which case you get a tiny 25% discount. Which marketing genius thought this up?

Or, am I missing something?

the 20MB plan seems a bit odd. The 120MB would be if you decided that you needed more than 10MB in a single day. else you get $1 a MB overages if just in casual etc.

Good point, but that 20 MB plan is ridiculous. And I still think that the 120 MB plan should have at least a token discount.

LOL. Telecom CFO must be someone who doesn't even know to calculate well. These prices are ever more rediculous than before LOL.

You are missing something

If I check my email on my phone once a day as an example and get 500kb worth of data I instantly get charged $1 even if I don't use the other 9.5mb, so in a month this would cost me $31 for 15.5mb of data. On 120mb plan it would cost me $12.

With the plan you can use 20mb one day, 10kb the next without additional charges, the same two days on casual would cost $16. Also telecom doesnt instantly charge you $12 they charge you per MB until you reach $12 value then the rest is free (like $10 text). This is also how their text plans work.

I agree with Plasmaglows

I will only use my phone to check emails daily and the 20MB will be enough data for the month. I think $6 is a good price as the 20MB plan on their old pricing used to be $25
