It looks like in addition to Twitter you are now able to add a Telecom New Zealand number to your Facebook profile.

After confirmation you are able to receive notifications, set schedules, select specific friends or pages to monitor for updates, and more.

It would appear that texts you send come out of your $10txt bundle, rather than being charged. been using this on CDMA for a few days now, facebook had a little popup message when i signed in, perhaps since I had an 027 number on my page.
