Hey look, a non-XT related post in the Telecom section :D

Anyway..... we have a phone line in one of our offices thats connected to the elevator (guessing for emergency calls etc) and we have been asked what the number is as the elevator company wants to make some changes.

We have no idea. The building manager told the elevator guy to call us as its our line - we dont think it is.

So what Im after is a way of finding out what the number is on that line - is there a callback or number readback system that I can use on Telecom lines to find out so at least then I can go to our Telecom manager to see if it is indeed one we should be looking after or not ?

TIA

I had the number for an elevator once - it was funny to ring it - was an old dial phone inside a door in an old elevator and it actually rang and people would answer...

Or ring a cellphone from it and hope the callerID isn't blocked?
