Has anyone on XT got Twitter TWTR texting working? I've got a migrated 021 number and it's doing nothing at either end, I'm wondering if Twitter is regarding 021 as a Vodafone number?

I have an 021 number still on CDMA though, and it works fine - it also works fine with the new Facebook integration to Telecom systems.

Are you sure that

1.Twitter notificatons are ON
2.Each of the contacts you want to be notified of have notifications set to ON
3.You have a correct time set for the "quiet time" (default is off from midnight to midnight, which is effectively off the whole day).

Hmm. I double checked the notification, just in case I deleted the number and set it up from scratch, I'm not even getting a "successfully activated" message or somesuch after texting the validation code to Twitter.

Quiet time is set from 11pm to 7am, so that should be safe.

I wonder if this is somehow related to the inability for my phones to recognise configuration texts from external providers?

Obviously if you're getting the notifications on your 021 then it blows my initial theory out of the water anyway. Odd.

I don't have twitter going via SMS, however I think twitter still has not enabled their full API yet have they, as you can see from the web, all replies/posts people make from what ever client still being recognised as being from the web not from the client it self. ... who knows ...

Apparently Twitter had a meltdown yesterday - not surprising, knowing how unreliable a service it is.

Not sure if is related to the Twitter SMS though.

I'll give it a few days and see if it sorts itself out, it may just be teething issues.

Edit: It just started working. A bit of a backlog somewhere in the system perhaps?
