Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows what the status of telecoms wireless hotspots is?  Seems to me with many of the new phones now doing wi-fi, the inclusion of free use of these either as part of mobile plans or broadband (as they had before) would give them an advantage over vodafone for some users.

I know I was dissapointed when they removed the use of the hotspots for broadband users.

Mike.

This is no longer a "Telecom" business, since January 2008.

Thanks,

Although its interesting to see that there is broken links on telecoms websit about it.  If you do a search on "wireless hotspots" takes you to Q&A's and then lists a link below:

telecom.co.nz/hotspots

which just takes you back to the main homepage.

Looks like not much effort is being put into them?  Not surprising given the move to mobile broadband I guess.

Mike.
