im just wondering what exactly you need to take with you when you go to purchase an xt sim card and want to carry over your 021 number?

Im assuming you need
Your phone (iphone 3g)
Your vodafone sim
Your number
$30.00

Anything else? Reason being i cant get to a telecom shop, but my family members drive past many of them daily, and i think ill get someone to buy me a card.

Photographic ID, address etc. To verify that the number is yours. I think this applies even if its a prepay SIM.

For ID drivers licence is best ( hassle free ) if not passport, firearms, 18+ card
as for porting you will need your sim and old phone for imei numbers, if you are on account you will need the Vodafone bill as well,
