So after a few dramas with the XT network on launch day and over the following w.e i switched back to CDMA on Monday and have been using my phone all week.

yesterday my phone stopped working and a call revealed it had been put back on the XT network without me requesting it (i no longer have an XT phone). after numerous calls i managed to get my phone reconnected this morning (CDMA) but i have lost all my credit. it wasn't a huge amount but i a student and i don't really want to top up again for a mistake not made by myself.

i have called prepaid help desk 5 times now regarding reimbursement of credit.

call 1 i was disconnected after i mentioned credit reimbursement (maybe a dropped call?) 6minutes.

Call 2 i was told that i needed to go to the dealership i had swapped to XT at (after explaining i hadn't gone to a dealership) i was told their is nothing they could do as it wasn't a change requested by them. after asking to speak to a supervisor i was hung up on. 28minutes.

Call 3 nearly identical to call 2 but after i asked to speak to a supervisor i was put on hold for 10 minutes then the customer service rep pretended i had never asked for the supervisor and repeated the first thing he had said. after again asking for a supervisor i was hung up on. 32minutes

call four after another explanation i was told that $5.50 could be re credited to my phone but i had lost the money spent on my 500text plan ($10). I asked why and they said that to get my number back from XT they had completely disconnected it and i no longer had a voicemail box either. and have lost my free texts. i asked to speak to a supervisor because i didn't think i was fair that a mistake on their end had cost me. fatal mistake and i was hung up on. 23minutes

Call 5 i immediately tell them i have been disconnected 4 times now i want to start on a supervisor please. i am transferred and promised that i wont be disconnected but still not a supervisor. explained again. this time i was told that i could get back  the credit ($5.50) but an investigation must take place to get the text money reimbursed. it would take up to 24hours and they would be in touch. i requested a investigation number/case number/id number but was told there want one and that they would be in touch. 40minutes

the first four calls i was told they don't have ID numbers and that i can only get a name. A first name doesn't really hold any accountability. then the last Rep gave me their Telecom employee number.

now im just waiting on the credit to come through. i know its only $5 but i need to use my phone..

record your calls when dealing with call centers - its the only way to prove you have requested things like this happen and the shoddy service that is given in some cases.
