All this mobile XT sounds splendid. Wish I had access to this. 25kms out from Auckland and not a squeak from any mobile company.

Come on Telecom - when are you going to cover the Waitakeres with mobile coverage - loos a bit bad on your maps to have a big white blank bit next to the largest conurbation in New Zealand. And yes I know it is difficult terrain but we can establish a wireless network, so why not wireless, may even save a few lives with those walkers getting lost!

Are you talking about the Waitakere Rangers?

This would cost many millions of $$ to cover a small number of people

Vodafone have one planned for Waima in the next 3 months (approx)

Not many Rangers! Sorry to be picky.

I am talking about the ranges, population about 30,000. Just seems a shame that some of the population is neglected

Vodafone have rights on one that one in Waima, have done for ages, but never used it. Good to hear that it will be finally be used. Thanks for the info.
