I have been using the Samsung 8300 for over a week now and I'm not impressed with its battery life.

It clearly states that it uses 4hrs talk time and 15 days stand by.  In reality I have had to charge my phone three times already.  I don't use it to play mp3s, only to send a few txt and voice calls totalling no more than 20mins.

I do realise that the Samsung is a touch screen and it must use a lot of power.... but the information provided by my local telecom store and the Samsung website clearly stated an expected longer battery life.

Other than the battery life it is a rather sexy phone.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

It can take a few full discharge/recharges before the battery settles into a satisfactory cycle.

But also remember battery life can be dependant on your coverage, screen brightness, bluetooth, wifi etc etc.

Those figures stated for Batt life and in perfect conditions. If the phone never makes a call no SMS screen back light never comes on.

i also agree that it doesn't last long at all, im just hoping after a few more full bat cycles it will get better.
