My mother in law has got a new mobile on the XT network and the first fone bill has arrived.  She is on the $15 / Combo  and  TXT150 /$6/month.   This plan gives 20 minutes calling of which she used about 16 minutes but looking thru the bill there are numerous  44c/min calls to vodafone and 17c/min calls to Telecom mobiles under the heading of Mobile other calls. These come to a total of  around $4.  I would have assumed these were a  part of the free 20 minutes on the plan or does the plan minutes only cover landline calls??

Anyone clarify this for her..

The 20 mins is definatly any network and anytime - so yes they should be included, which means it will wither be a back-end billing issue which would be sorted quickly (I imagine) through 123, or alternativly, just make sure - as I know Telecom bills can be immensly confusing - that the mobile calls havn't originated from her landline, a quick check of the 'key' on the bill or once again, a call to 123 to will answer this.

Plans are here.  http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=8224

Will wait until the next bill arrives as this one is rather messy   with a part and a full month of billing..

Did she move her old number to the new phone / plan. If so check the dates of the calls as they might be pre XT changeover.

Wasn't part of the XT launch supposed to include simplified phone bills? They look to be just as cryptic as ever to me.

I also had a mystery call to Auckland that should have been covered by either the FlexiAnytime plan on the old account, or the whatever the new plan is called. The nice lady on 123 just wiped it (it was only $2, I was more curious than anything else).

No .  Just bought a new one with a new number.  As the old one is one one bill.  It costs nothing to keep going until the system is closed..  Standby unit.

Have a chat with 123, the call plan may not have been correctly provisioned on the account.
