Yeah, is Boost or $10 text (2000 and 500) text prepaid plans, ending at the end of 2009?

Also, I'm looking to buy a 3g handset, but don't want to buy any of telecoms overpriced crap, would rather buy from trademe or other place (suggestions on where to get a cheap 3g?)

So, should I just search for these phones http://www.geekzone.co.nz/Jama/6461 on trademe and see what I like for a reasonable price from a respectable seller with good feedback and is unlocked?

Cheers, sorry I'm new. I was happy with my sanyo 7400 and now they crank this out.

Hmm, was hoping to get a flip or slide phone. Cheers though, I'll have a look later on.

A few weeks ago when I was upgrading to XT, I overhead one of the staff tell another customer that Boost expires at the end of the year.

Cheers man, I might get a samsung C5220 if 2 degrees and black and white can't do a better deal than XT.

Speaking of which, does anyone know what 2 degrees will be like?

Gosh, I wish sprint or at&t would just come and dominate the market.

Lol, I understand. Though it seems that I'm being forced to upgrade to a 3g handset either way, and since I'm quite a frequent texter, I'd like to find the best deal to suit my needs.

Maybe wait until towards the end of the year if your current phone suits you fine, I'm sure there will be plenty of notice (and at least a month)

There are not a huge amount of flip shell phones, the Samsung c5220 and the larger but flatter Telecom R7, I have used the R7 and it's simple and easy to use but it defaults to predictive on each new message.

My phone of choice would probably be the new HTC smartphone with a qwerty keypad, once I went qwerty, It's so hard to go back to slo-mo-multi-tappy but it's not a clam.

Just to be clear here, if you change to XT you will need to choose a Telecom XT TXT plan, you can not keep $10TXT or Boost TXT as these are CDMA offers only.

Yeah, I don't do 2000 txts a month, so it won't be too much of a problem
