Hello,

Do you know if My Telecom is available only on postpaid? If yes, is there a web-management console for my XT prepaid card?

Second question, is VoIP forbidden on prepaid data plans? I know that Vodafone allows it but of course does not guarantee any quality which is fine by me.

Thanks.

I'm not really following you here. What are you trying to achieve?

Your Telecom is available via WAP on both Prepaid and Postpaid. Postpaid customers can also access Your Telecom from the Telecom website's homepage (they do not have the same interface).

VoIP, I would say go for it, but again Telecom will not support it, if it works, great, if it doesn't just don't ask Telecom for support :).

I tried registering on MyTelecom website but says that it cannot register my number.
I was wondering if there's a similar interface to MyVodafone where you can see the balance, manage the addons etc.

I'm not sure if I have WAP access (I have a HTC Tytn/Hermes) but I have a built in Internet Explorer. Do you know the web page I should visit?

Thanks.

Ok try this from an XT connection (it won't work from anything else)

It worked to load the page, I requested a password, received the sms. Tried to logon but...

Solved it. I'm running WM6.5 and the default behavior for Internet Explorer was to authenticate as Desktop Computer instead of Mobile browser.
Now everything works and I was amazed to see that there is history available for calls/txt/mobile data!
That's impressive for prepay. Well done Telecom!

I have one more question. It's unclear for me how the billing is done.
I'm on 120MB plan (confirmed by *333) and I currently have about 110 MB remaining.
The credit was originally $20 and now is around 17$ (also confirmed at *333) and it was at some point between 18-19$.
I didn't make any calls or texts. Is the credit decreasing based on the internet usage?

Thanks again for your kind help :)

You're charged 50c/MB until you've used 24 MB ($12), then the remaining 96 MB are free.

Cool. What happens after the 120MB finish? I assume I will be charged at 50c/MB.

Can I get another 120MB in the same month?

Thanks.

Cheeky? If you find yourself not using the service at all for a month then you pay nothing. If you only use a couple of MB, then you pay less than the full $12. Sounds good to me.

Is it? It's better than being charged $12 up front and then 120MB are free.

Mmmm yeah you both make good points but I still think its a bit cheeky, 50c per MB is pretty steep.

I do think $12 for 120mb is pretty good value.

However how would you feel if you used just over 24mb over the month and then move over to your next months cycle? I'd be pretty miffed at paying around 50c per meg.

Dont want to start a war of words but I do prefer vodafones $1 a day for 10mb.

Telecom do also offer a $1/day for 10MB option, the $12 for 120MB is just one option:

There are a few options, details are here:
