Hey I just swiched to telecom today at 12:42 pm. When I was on Xnet on my mondem I was gettings speeds of 11mbs down and 900mbs up and when I checked it for telecom it seems to be slower 7mbs down and 700 kbs up slot slow I am on the new plan big time. And modm is linksys Wag200a and nothink changed from the phone or anythink like that when I was on Xnet. Have anyone on the same page? Want can we do about it. I caled telecom and they say do speedtest over 3 days but it seems very odd to me for us to do that

my speed can vary quite a bit over the course of the week. that is probably why they asked you to do 3 days of speed tests.

I get a lower sync speed if it syncs in the evenings vs the early morning, perhaps thats all thats happening.

Or telecom have a different profile loaded for your port to what xnet requested. Is the modulation and noise margins the same on telecom as it was on xnet?

Are you talking about adsl sync speed as reported in the modem's ui OR are you talking about a result from speedtest.net OR something else like speed in utorrent?

The sync speed shouldn't normally change, it's the same port at the exchange after all.

If you are talking about a speedtest.net Auckland result, well that server is hosted by Xnet so it's not really going to be that useful as an indication of local speed imo.

If you are talking about p2p speed, p2p is shaped/managed on Big Time.
