Hi,

I have just purchased a new XT phone and transferred my old number over to a new SIM card.

I can do calling/texting, but can't access TWorld or the internet. I am taken to a blank page "TMP4a7f1.$$$".

I am currently connecting through "TelecomContent".

Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks
James.

Could be a problem with the software/current configurations on your new phone regarding Internet.

Probably be best to go back to your Telecom Shop/Dealer you bought your phone from.

May I ask what Phone you bought?
Cheers

Whoops - should have mentioned; it's a Nokia 6120 classic. Thanks

Call Telecom and ask if you have data services provisioned on your line.

I tried calling them, and according to them, my number is still connected to my old phone (which it clearly isn't, as I am using my new phone for calls and texts). Perhaps that is the problem. I think I'll just go back to the Telecom store.

As an aside, the customer service on the phone was the worst I have ever experienced. The person at Telecom didn't really know what they were talking about, they treated me like an idiot and kept arguing with me. The labour must be really cheap wherever the call centre is!

Are you transfering from CDMA? If so it may take a while for the service order to complete, try again in the morning.

Surely something needs to be done about the call centre. ( I realise this is way off topic) But it seems lotsa threads have the same issue, and it shouldn't have to rely on this web for stuff to be sorted. (Thanks again nzbnw!)

Yep transferred from CDMA. Also I have just tried calling my phone from a landline and I get a message that my number has not been allocated to a cell phone! Yet I can still text. Hope this resolves by tomorrow. (and yep, this forum is way more helpful than the call centre!)

It sounds like your order is still processing, it's usually quite fast.

If your still having problems tomorrow, flick me a PM and I'll try to help.

Seems that all of the problems resolved overnight.

Thanks nzbnw for your help!
