Does anyone know of any hints to new phones coming telecoms way in the new few months. I am due for an upgrade of my Treo 700w and really want a Windows Mobile device with no keypad unlike all the ones that seem to be offered at the moment.
I'd like the diamond and the touch so is there any indication if these or antything similar will be released. I see Telstra has both the Diamond and Touch HD available so I guess there is hope they might be on their way one day.

a site like nokia.co.nz is a good start, shows what phones are around some models that are "coming soon"

Yeah but obviously with that is no indication when or even if telecom will release them. My phone is a work one so work will pay for the upgrade so I dont want to import my own at my own cost unfortunately.

Nokia just announced an 850 3G version of the N86 8MP. Really hope Telecom grabs that.

I like the look of the Nokia 6600i which is 850/2100. Trying to find somewhere online to buy one while the NZ/USD is good. RRP is somewhere around $250USD.

Edit: maybe this is the same as the 6600 Telecom already have... it looked cooler.

Edit 2: it is an updated version. The search resumes. http://blog.phoneslimited.co.uk/2009/05/19/nokia-6600i-slide-announced-as-nokia-6600-slide-successor/

I know that Sony Ericsson X1 is coming soon. It looks like a nice WinMo device but will be quite pricey.

I only have eyes for the HTC Touch Pro 2. Telstra now have it in their NextG lineup ($1600 to purchase outright, jeepers) and will be sold unlocked as of 1 August as far as i am aware. At the moment, theyre the only carrier in the world sporting a WCDMA 850 version of the TP2. Still going on my trusty HTC Titan. My phone for XT must have a slide out keyboard as per my Titan so pass on all the current XT phones! I'm hoping Telecom do bring the TP2 to XT (so i can take advantage of any rebates available), but i doubt it.

- Telstra HTC Touch Pro2 - Energy ROM WM6.5.5 20 Oct/Cyanogen Mod Froyo 2.2 - R.I.P
- AT&T Galaxy S Captivate 16GB on XT (now with brother)
- Samsung Galaxy S2 on XT- Runs ICS 4.0.3 Resurrection Remix 9.2
- Business Hours - Work In The Electricity Industry, After Hours - DJ/Turntablist - Will Scratch Vinyl For Free'
- What's next??? S3?

do nokia even make a "windows mobile" device? the OP specifically stated "really want a windows mobile device with no keypad".

the Treo 700 was a phone for the CDMA network. i'm not sure if Telecom plans to bring in ny more devices specifically for that network but if you're looking at an "XT upgrade" then there are a bunch of options around, you dont have to purchase a phone from telecom directly (just need to ensure its compatible with XT first - see XT phone thread). If you're staying on the CDMA network for now then the Okta Touch or HTC Titan are options: https://www.telecombusinesshub.co.nz/Calling/Phones/Pages/Basics.aspx
