Hi,
Set up a relatives iPhone 3g on XT and uploaded the carrier settings from iphonewzealand about a 6 weeks ago. We called Telecom before he left to get him put onto call and data roaming yet when he turns it on over there it just comes up with no service every where he goes.

Is there anything he can change under settings that will enable his to use roaming, we have called telecom several times but there is nothjing they can do from there end.

Cheers for your help

Edit - He is in North Carolina, USA

What is the error message when they action a manual network selection to a carrier?

No access or not allowed?

You might also want to ask him to check his SIM works in another phone to make sure there isn't a problem with the iPhone or the carrier bundle.
