Hi everyone,

A friend tried to send me an MMS containing a photo. He got the progress indicator while it was sending, then received a message back a short while later telling him that sending had failed. I then tried to send a photo to him and it appeared to send, however he didn't receive it and I wasn't charged for it.

I'm on XT and he's on Verizon (US). I tried emailing Telecom about it but didn't get anywhere (my email got forwarded onto the roaming helpdesk, who said that it wasn't their problem because I wasn't roaming at the time).

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks :)

I think you will find XT does not have a interconnect with Verizon for PXT its that simple also its a CDMA network and its not so easy

Wonder if it's gotten something to do with the picture size. We've had problems sending between Telecom CDMA ans XT if the pix size id beyond 640x480. It seems that CDMA is a lot more forgiving than WCDMA..

Interesting. I have no idea what picture sizes we were trying to use. I'm not familiar with interconnection, does it really use a different "path" compared to voice or text?

Its nothing to do with picture size

Voice and SMS are very different carriers need to interconnect MMSCs for service to work

I finally got around to contacting Telecom about this. They're working on it.

I would not hold your breath Verizon run a CDMA network and this would require lots of work
