I am looking for a dual sim card phone that will work onb both a 3G network and a GSM network.

Does such a phone exist?
Is it reasonably priced, i.e. I will be able to get the cost passed my wife
Does it work in New Zealand

All 3G phones work on 2G networks. Most phones will work on a single provider though - and some telcos offer both services.

For example Telecom XT is a 1005 3G network. Vodafone is a mix of 2G and 3G and the transition between 2G and 3G is transparent.

Or do you want to have a handset to use with two different operators?

i think he is looking for Telecom + Vodafone in the one phone at the same time, and because XT is 3G only, dual-sim GSM phones are no good, but I havent seen a dual SIM 3G phone yet.

Wait and watch I guess.

This one will do it :-) The XT sim would go in sim 1. I saw one on TradeMe not long ago for a buy now price of $700.00

I see there's one going for $850 on TradeMe. This looks like an awesome phone, but I'm not sure how the implementation of dual SIM is on the phone? Is it dual standby?

From the video i saw ( a little while back ), both sims are active on their respective network at the same time.
