Two days ago I recieved my letter from telecomm explaining that the GoLarge service wont be active anymore, and suggested moving plans (BigTime with the free $10 difference paid for the first three months).
I then within 20 mins of opening the letter had change my plan the BigTime.
The change took about 12 hours (I was quite surprised, as the site said it might take up to 3 days).
I would class myself as a heavy downloader (On average 120gigs per month) using Torrent, HTTP, YouTube, and webcam. With 5 computers in my house each belinging to a different person, 40 gigs a month does not cut it.
After I checked that I was on BigTime I know get

As my sync speeds, Before my upload was 128kbps.
SHAPING INFO
HTTP
From my experiences, to servers in the US, AUS or NZ I get my FULL line speed ~750kB/s - 1mB/s.
There IS 'shaping' on filehosts such as rapidshare and megaupload.
TORRENT
Definite traffic shaping, limited to ~180kB/s during the day.
Got the fasted speed yet on torrent when this 'shaping' was not active, ni GoLarge I would never hit 400kB/s on a torrent...
This is my uTorrent Speed graph from a night..

As you can see there is definalty some traffic shaping going on. I thought Telecomm said 2am - 9am? (OH, Checked their site and they say "Generally")
Would 'Generally' mean 5am - 8am then? :P
YOUTUBE
Seems to be working fine for me... A while ago when BigTime first came out, there were lots of people complaining about the lack of YouTube performance. Seems to be fixed.. Although on 'UnCached videos, there can be slight stutter.
As my GoLarge plan would play YouTube perfect 100% of the time, even the HD stuff, I am a little dissapointed, but in return I get really good constant download speeds.
PSN - Playstation Network
At around 1pm I was getting 1mB/s from the PSN Store. (Downloading a demo - Uncharted 2, Very good, Worth getting :P). I tried downloading another demo around 10pm, and it was going around 150kB/s.
I was talking to a friend while playing the game, and hes with Xnet, he was getting Lag, as his character just stopped responding, whereas I was fine, and experienced no lag. (My Xnet friend also has no-cap upload speed)
OVERALL
I am very happy that I moved over to BigTime, sure YouTube is not perfect all the time, but in exchange for that faster, full line speed, its great. Having the extra upload speed can make all the difference then :P
I say make the move, sure there are a few kinks that need working out, but it can only get better....Right?
