Can anyone tell me the band edge (upper & lower Frequency limit) for Telecom NZ XT 850 & 2100 network.
Also Vodafone NZ 900 & 2100 networks

Email me with what you're after and why.

This is a strange request as all spectrum info is available via http://www.rsm.govt.nz, as the only reason I can think of that you would want this info is if you're custom building a cellular device. And if this is what you're doing then it needs to be certified by oranisations such as the USA FCC etc.

I Believe what NealR's theory is, is that Vitech wants to know the frequency's of the mobile networks in new zealand so that he may Build a Cell Phone Jammer. A Cell phone Jammer is a Device that Broadcast's a White Nose Signal on the same frequency that your cell phone receives it's cell service signal from the cell tower and because it's doing that the two signal's cancel each other out. the Result is your phone can't connect to the network and Displays (No Service) witch means you can't make phone calls text send picture you can't even call 111 for help.
In Simple Terms the cell phone jammer Creates interference so that the cell phone can't connect to the cell tower. there for if there's no network coverage you cant use your phone.

And what (richms) is saying is the cell phone jammers on the online shoping Site dealextreme
work great so he has herd.

Please Note: Cell Phone Jammers are NOT Legal In New Zealand and if caught with you could end up in jail or be fined a large some of money. the only exception is that some Prison's may use them to Prevent inmates (Prisoners) from making cell phone calls To Commit Crime with Smuggled cell phones

I actually saw someone using speakerphone on a bus the week before the strikes....

Wow.
I recently looked up the frequencies so that I could go find a suitable yagi antenna for a customer who was having problems getting a broadband signal and was sucked into a stupid 2 year contract with a vodem because they promised the new extended broadband would work at his rural property.

The yagi worked by the way.

Shame on you all for jumping to a bad assumption. No need to make the poor guy feel unwelcome at these forums for asking a simple question - although if he is making a cellphone jammer then he would be unwelcome.

IMHO Jammers should be legal in some circumstances, Class rooms, exam rooms, movie theaters, hospitals, lots of places would benefit from them!

Problem is, like fireworks, it just takes one idiot to ruin it for everyone....

ok raytaylor you have a good point how ever you do have to wonder why the person didn't reply to the thread he created.
