Maybe SPOT is back (or this is a funny hint..):

With telecom losing so many customers in the LLU areas it must be something good...

That they will be charging realistic data charges for mobile wireless?

On second thought, that is unlikely as it would advantage the customer.

I'd go on a Vegan diet but the delivery time from Vega is too long.

Whatever they are partying for, this is the year for Telecom to celebrate, they have launched a new mobile network, spent over a billion last financial year on capital and their broadband offerings are shaping out to be much much better, and they just brought Tivo to NZ.

Reminds me of the Vodafone parties with monkeys and a Elephant. w00t. What were they of aid of? Christmas party?

I reckon it's a year end wrap up and Tivo launch, but will ask around at work Monday see whats on the grapevine.

...All the Apple geeks will be hoping it's the iPhone.

exportgoldman: and they just brought Tivo to NZ.

They didn't bring TiVo to New Zealand. Hybrid TV Services Ltd is bringing TiVo to New Zealand and partnered with Telecom for just one part of the service.
