I have an N85 (business phone) but our home broadband is with Telecom so we have a home Xtra account and we have a family email address ****@xtra.co.nz but is there anyway I can get another Xtra email account that I can set up to use with my phone for emailing pics etc(without using the home address which I really dont want to access from my phone).

I use a gmail account for personal mail which of course is easy to access thru the browser or an app.

tks for your help

Just go to http://nz.yahoo.com/ signin with your Xtra.co.nz account and click on Member Centre.

There you can create up to 10 sub-accounts. Also while there you will see you have free access to Flickr Pro and other services.

Hi I have set up the account now I am struggling with a couple of questions on the phone where I seem to have recieved messages but am having trouble sending, so please stick with me.

In Messaging there are 2 folders:-

XTRA and Xtra Email - is there a reason for 2 and are they different? The 2 emails I have recieved appear in both.

As to the set up in XTRA - Connection settings / Incoming e-mail
User name - I have my xtra address
Password - ****
Incoming server - pop3.xtra.co.nz
Access Point in Use - Default connection???
Mailbox name - XTRA
the rest are all as it was set up

As to the set up - Connection settings / Outgoing e-mail
My e-mail address - I have my xtra address
User name - my name
Password - ****
Outgoing server - send.xtra.co.nz
Access Point in Use - Default connection???
Mailbox name - XTRA
the rest are all as it was set up

If I go to Xtra e-mail / Settings it all appears to be the same.

Tks for your help, would it make any difference if I am working on my home wifi or do I need to set the "Access point in use" to something else?

thanks lots
