Hello, Posting this on behalf of friend so all info I have is 2nd hand, I have not seen what he is referring to.

He recently purchased a DKU5 cable. He installed pc suite 6.1 and connected his nokia 2280. All went well, he is able to back up and also synchronise with outlook BUT he can only do the synchronising once. Nothing happens when he tries to sync later on but he can still use the back up feature. The only way he can sync again is to uninstall pc suite and then reinstal. He can then sync once and once only.

Any ideas?

Cheers

http://www.nokia-asia.com/nokia/0,,58848,00.html seems to indicate that version 6.6 should be used, and that the phone may only support a straight copy of contacts, not actual syncronisation - although its a bit vague.

Also, the Telecom public website makes no mention of PCsuite for the 2280, but specifically mentions it for other Nokias that do support it.

If someone asked me off the cuff if the 2280 supported syncing with Outlook, I think i would say no anyway (regardless of my previous 3 minutes research)

The Nokia 2280 user guide says to consult the PC Suite / PC Connectivity User Guide at Nokias U.S. site but I didnt have much luck finding it (there is lots of info there though)

Thanks D, He did mention that he had trouble installing 6.5 (seems recommended on the link) but not quite sure what the issue was. I will try to get him to focus on getting 6.5 installed and try again. cheers
