Hey I received dr cable data cable today. For some irrating reason the driver for my phone simple will not install. I am completely stuck and would really like to use the cable. I have googled for another driver for my phone with no luck and cannot find a website or anything of that nature. Does anyone here know where I can get a driver for my phone or fix the problem? Thanks
this is always a good website for data cables and what does and doesn't work. Support is good too.
Samsung A680
Does not support tethered data i.e. you can not hook up a laptop/pda via a cable and use the device as a modem.
Samsung provide PC Sync software, but it has not currently been tested with the APT USB Data cable
What are you wanting to use the cable for ? Syncing or Mobile DATA ?
Our drivers are generally reserved for use only with our own cables, but yes, the website will tell you what the phone can and can't do with regard to data vs. sync. On the drivers side I think there was a thread a little while back by someone else that linked into the Samsung site for drivers. The drivers for the Samsung N181, A591, N361, N391, and A680 are generally all in one driver.
I have spent hours trying to get PC sync to work with A680 with no success. I have even downloaded heaps of different versions of Sam software and could not get any to sync successfully. Detected phone etc, but would not upload data
