hi all

i have been told by numerous sources that the Nokia SU-8W foldable bluetooth keyboard will work with the Harrier, but I can't seem to get mine to work. Every time I try and create a pairing, i get an 'Authentication Failed' error - i have reset the keyboard following the instructions, but still without success

Anyone out there been down this road before?

Cheers

PS

forgot to mention - as soon as i enter the passcode into the keyboard (after entering it into the harrier) i get the suthentication error message - this leads me to believe that they are communicating at some sort of rudimentary level

I don' think the keyboard will work with the Harrier - unles there are drivers installed on the Harrier, there is no native support for HID on Windows Mobile 2003.

You'd be better off with a Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard.

Have you installed any software on your Harrier? Does it come with a CD and software for the Harrier? If not, return it and go for the Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard (check our review).

i sure that's part of the problem - i can't see how to install the keyboard software on to the harrier - there doesn't seem to be an exe type install file to run from the harrier, nor is there a disk for the device, only a MMC card that comes with the keyboard, which when placed into the harrier does nothing. there is a install folder on the card, but i can't browse to it using the harrier, and even if i could, ther is only a n aif file, several R files (like winrar ones) but nothing that seems to e executable......i fear i may have been led astray here

Also check out the palm Wireless Keyboard - IR not BT - works really well on the Harrier. It even has WM specific shortcut keys built in for exel/mail/home etc. Leading Edge are selling them.
