Same thing with me (Wgtn), I just checked my phone and I have no connection. I checked here a moment ago but didn't see anyone mention anything. Tried to manually connect to the network but it says access denied after an eternity.

Strange one really, probably a bit late for others to notice given the time.

Oh well, I'm just glad it isn't just me!

VF phone here in Wellington seems to be working fine. Telecom aren't rolling out some XT network update are they? Or it isn't affected a particular type of phone? (E71 here).

Might try a 2? sim now...

Something is playing up for sure, it seems to connect to the network every minute now and I get the notification for new voicemail and then it drops again.

My 2 Degrees sim worked fine in the phone, full coverage and what not. But with XT sim the phone seems to be cycling, trying to reconnect every once in a while and flashing the screen back on.

Ah well, fingers crossed!

I had a look around the site, and the status is all good, I tried calling faults and get a out of hours message. So helpful Telecom.

Phoned them up - they are "down for upgrades".
You would think they could do this without taking the entire network down :s

Or make it more common knowledge that they will be doing down... Wow.
Good thing I wasn't relying on my cellphone for much tonight

well that would depend on the type of upgrade if its RNC then yes every cell attached to that RNC goes bye bye. Upgrades have to be done they do them in the middle of the night for a reason.

I am in Masterton and it is fine. Obviously network upgrade finished (I didn't look at my phone at Midnight).
