today i checked on http://www.ip-adress.com/ and now its shows hamilton. where the ip comes from.
before it showed ackland. is this the same for any other poeple?

I think some network providers/ISPs do actually record somewhere where the Ips are likely to be handed out.... dont hold me to that tho, I dont deal in networking at that level ;-p

LOL I asked that site to show me exactly where my IP is located... apaprently Im working from Mt Eden prison :)
Knew there was a reason why my stuff keeps going missing.......

Got my IP correct, not surprising though as I live in one of the main centres. How's the connection rate in Mt Eden? :-p

My static IP with Xnet is showing Auckland.. and always has done.. head office i guess

OK... at the bottom of that page, click IP Tracing... then use the Google map and zoom in....

Interesting, both my current work IP address (ICONZ) and my home static IP address (Telecom) are also showing Mt Eden Prison. Perhaps there's a resale operation being run from there :)
