Pantech sounds like something i'd cook stirfry in China with.

what's a curitel? a strange box that allows your phone to make a smell when it rings?

What he's saying is that your signature will attract spam (email address). Also is not a good idea to have your mobile phone number public on a board. I would change that ASAP.

if it's the same phones and only the brand name changed, then you could get some twink and a marker pen and change it back to hyundai.

ha ha taniwha, lmao!

danielc / Telecom_Mad, what's the problem? I think I'm missing your point here... so the brand name has changed in the NZ market? Audiovox / Curitel / Hyundai / Pantech? whatever... the phones are the same...

well... those phones are made by the same company, in the same country, in the same street, in the same factory, by the same people...

final time.... the branding is the only change... that's it! no other changes...

If you really want to throw the cat amoung the pigeons, the Telepermit site still lists it as a Hyundai aswell. : )

www.telepermit.co.nz
PTC#: 256/05/012

It's still the same phone, just a different brand. Likewise the same accessories.

Also Agreed.

It's similar to what happens when one company buys out another's software. Symantec bought out Ghost, GoBack & Partition Magic, and it's now Norton Ghost, Norton GoBack & Norton Partition Magic.

In this case it's just mirrored. Pantech had the rights to use the Hyundai name, now it doesn't. Still exactly the same product, but just under a different banner.
