Hey everyone,
Just joined up to geekzone (you guys seem to know a lot more than customer support a lot of the time :) ) I have an LG CU920, which is compatible with the XT Network, so I switched over to XT yesterday and it has been working fine.
I tried configuring mobile internet on my phone, and no matter what I do I don't seem to be able to get it working (and what use is being on the fastest network when I can't use it?)
On this phone, I can add 'network profiles' which sets up:
- connection title
- bearer (set on GPRS)
- authentication (no auth/PAP/CHAP)
- username
- password
- APN
Then under the web browser settings, I can set up 'accounts' which sets up:
- account name
- homepage
- connection mode (TCP with proxy/TCP without proxy/UDP(CO)/UDP(CL))
- proxy address
- proxy port number
- security (non-secure/secure)
- time out
- network profile (where I select one of the configured network profiles like above).
I have been trying varying combinations of APNs and network profiles from various pages on this forum with no success. Would anybody have any ideas on which settings i should be trying for 'network profile' and 'accounts' to get mobile internet working? I even signed up for a data plan as well!
perhaps someone with an LG phone already setup, or more mobile networking knowledge could help me out? Any advice would be appreciated. I called up customer service to be told that they didn't have internet settings (!!!)
thank you :)
