I was just told that TV show 60 minutes is recording a special "behind the scenes" on Telecom XT tonight, airing next 17th March... Here's some more information:

A couple of weeks ago TV3’s 60 minutes team approached us to do a behind the scenes look at what went on during the XT outages.

We have been determined to be open and upfront with people - both inside this business and outside of it - about the issues we’ve faced recently.   Being so upfront requires courage, and it’s not without risk. But we will continue to be straight-up, hence the decision to give the 60 minutes team an inside look at our business and access to our people.

The film crew have started interviewing and we’ve also given them footage from the video we put together for you during one of the XT outages - so they might use some of that too.

The programme is due to screen next Wednesday (17th March) and will be promoted at the end of tonight’s show.

Remember, promo pieces are designed to get people to watch! Obviously we hope tonight’s promo and next week’s programme will be a balanced look at how the issues were managed, highlighting the extraordinary lengths our people have gone to to look after our customers."

I wonder if NealR, Akia and others will appear on the program?

Mauricio, I heard about it about the same time you did. Since they have already finished filming it's either hidden camera footage or we're not in it. Save to say for the good of the company image I'm not in it :)

Wonder if it will be balanced or the typical NZ sensationalist news item along the lines of "Have we got the dirt on Telecom tonite, Just watch 60 Minutes"

I think 60 minutes interviews a lot better than campbell live, can you imaging John Campbell doing it

i saw them earlier in the week, we were all unaware, they just showed up, filming in the middle of the floor.. so they got good footage of front line staff 'appreciating nz's frustration' :)
