Hi Guys,

My friend recently bought an iPhone and is running it on XT.

It is a 8gb Jailbroken 3G one and I have one question.
For some reason the 3G icon and data wont work unless you go into settings and turn on Data Roaming,

On mine (16gb iPhone 3G) the 3G icon appears fine and I don't need Data Roaming turned on for it to work. I was wondering why this would be happening as he wouldn't be roaming .Calls and SMS work fine without Data roaming turned on but data wont.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks
Tane

What setting have you entered in the APN field?  Are you running the latest carrier file?
