Telecom have just now confirmed another issue with the XT Network, this time effecting Smartphone devices due to some authentication error.
There is no current information on the number of customers effected.

allan: I think both networks have been having "issues". I've been getting fairly intermittent, but almost daily "network busy" messages on Vodafone in the Wellington CBD for the last week and texts not received on Telecom yesterday, but seems okay today.
