My standard adventure connection has been dog slow for the past day and half and I was wondering if there is anywhere to check status reports for telecom's network? Does telecom maintain a status page or RSS feed somewhere?

Service status isn't granular enough to indicate down to premises level, anyway unless the service is out then it should be as good as it will get. ADSL issues are generally line faults or household wiring issues so you need to investigate attenuation figures and sync rates as provided by modem.
