Hi, new to the forum, was wondering if someone could give me specific informationn regarding all the "in's and out's" of importing a cell phone from USA that will work on Telecom pre paid service. Thanks for your help. Bill.

Your only option from the US is a handset rom AT&T. AT&T locks their devices and they are heavily customised. I recommend you buy your handset locally.

Actually you might get the Google Nexus One Android phone directly from Google - there's an AT&T version that doesn't seem to be locked.
