hello there i have the nokia 6120 classic i have been very happy with the way the phone has proformed so far. but now im having a problem the message icon is flashing and i get a error message saying 'not enough memory to receive message's delete some data first' so i delete all my messages from the inbox, sent box, outbox, reports, drafs Deleted all the call listory deleted most of my pictures and videos and still i get the same message. i have called telecom customber's they told me to crash the phone by removing the battary and sim card for 15 Minutes and then puting it back together. this didn't solve the problem they done a soft reset a network reset still no joy. i took it the the telecom store they gave me a replacement sim card they said the new sim card is ment to be slightly better because it is able to keep a more stonger connection to the network.
after doing this i am still having the same problem someone please help me:(
Ps: i have also tryed using the sim card in other xt mobile phones and it works fine i have tryed a factory restore and checked all the sms settings no still no joy

not sure why they would do a network reset not even sure what that is cause i am sure they are not resetting the network. try a hard reset but this will erase everything on the handset

It may not be fixable from information given on here - you may need to return it to the dealer for assistance.

Go to Messages> Options> SIM Messages. Delete all of these and your problem should be solved.

ok i believe it's a small bug with in the firmware that cause's the problem i don't think nokia knows about it because there is no firmware up date to fix it. (WARNING DOING THIS WILL DELETE YOUR PICTURES AND SETTINGS STORED ON YOUR PHONE'S MEMORY PLEASE BACK UP YOUR STUFF BEFORE HAND!!) ok this is the way to fix the error message "not enough memory to receive message's delete some data first" on the nokia 6120 Classic Go to Settings > General > Factory Settings A message box will appear saying "Restore all original phone settings? phone will restart." Select "YES" and the phone will restart. while the phone is starting up hold the following keys * 3 and the Green Call key keep them held in until the phone asks for your country then just follow the prompts. set your phone back up and your ready to go:)

im sorry if my spelling and grammar isn't to flash.

I've had Telecom do a "network reset" a couple of times before when I have been unable to send texts.

I think what they are actually doing is deleting you from the network and reprovisioning you.  It worked in my case.

Network resets won't help in this case as there is a problem with the phone.

I agree with John's first post, hard-reset you're phone, Dial Star Hash 7370 Hash p/w = 12345, you will loose all contacts, photo's, SMS etc so back up first.

Hmmmm apparently  star and hash in character form are 'bad words' :-(
