Hi,

Yesterday I called Telecom to change from the 120 MB data plan up to the 500 MB. The guy on the other end did his thing and said it was all set up. As of now, 14 hours later, I'm still on the 120 MB plan according to T-World. Should the plan change have happened by now, or do I need to wait until the end of the month for it?

Thanks :)

Postpay. Come to think of it, last time I changed it happened quickly, but I was switching between different Data Extras then, rather than completely removing the Data Extra and adding a Mobile Broadband plan.

Changes to plans are implimented over nite, yes the service order may have posted and he said you were on the plan, but the actual T-world update to how your plan dispalys is overnight

Yeah, I'm happy to wait, I was just wondering whether it was normal or not. I'll post back here once it changes over.

I had a very similar issue back in April. I had the 240MB extra on my phone but changed to the 2GB plan so I could use my iPhone for tethering. I was told the plan change would take about six hours, but by the next day, according to YourTelecom, I was still on the 240MB plan.

I called up and was told it had gone through and to keep using it, so I did.

The following day (two days after the initial request to change) it was still showing as being on the 240MB plan and I was several megabytes over the limit (I was trying to hold off using it just in case it really was still on the old plan), so I called back again, and while I can't remember the exact conversation, it was along the lines of they had added the plan to my account, but hadn't actually actioned it.

So the first CSR I spoke to said it was working only because that's what it showed on their screen, that I had added it to my account, when I explained what was happening to the second CSR it was then that she delved a bit further and was able to see that it hadn't actually been actioned.

So your situation sounds very smiliar to my one, and my advice would be to call them back and get them to look into it, explaining the difference between what you've been told versus what T-World is telling you.

Hmm, interesting. I'll give it 24 hours (approx 5 pm) and if it's still showing 120 then I'll give them another call.

OK, I just called back and ran into an issue. As mentioned above, I'm on postpaid. The 500 MB plan is listed under the Prepaid section on the site, however the terms and conditions state that all mobile broadband plans are available on postpaid (under "Eligibility"). The person I spoke with today said that that's incorrect and that the 500 MB plan is only available on prepaid. She also said that she'll get the web team to look into it.

Does anyone know for sure which is correct? The site, or the person I spoke with?
