Hi all

Recently purchased a prepaid account with XT for data use only.  Using a Sierra 885 stick on a Mac OSX laptop.

Went to check my data usage - web site says sign up with Your Telecom.  Try to do that, but dont have a password.  Click on option to generate new account and password, says password will be sent via text message to the mobile number.  Trouble is, the 3G Watcher software for OSX doesnt seem to be able to receive texts (it looks from the screen shots that the Windows version can).

So, I cant receive the text with my password in it, and cant check my usage.  Has anyone else in a similar situation worked out how to sort this?

Thanks for any ideas.

Know anyone with a PC you can plug your 885 into and get the password that way?

I'd say borrow a windows machine to get the password changed,

When you've on the data stick goto

http://yt.telecom.co.nz/mobile

that allows you to change the password permanently there is a link down the bottom that says manage password once changed it will be the same password for ever and you can then put it back in your mac.

Behodar:
cokemaster: It will send your datacard a SMS with a temporary password for the usage meter (you can change this once you log in).

Did you read the first post? He doesn't know of a way to read the SMS sent to the data card.

Thats why I hid it after I realized that :-(

If I remember correctly - the mac one is the 'light' aircard watcher with just the connect button. Do you have a phone that could read the message?

Or put the SIM card into a XT phone, and then grab it that way.

There are a few AT commands you can send to pick up the messages, but I am not sure how the OSX Sierra dialer would interfere with the modem interface, normally (on the windows version) they have a SMS Manager that you pick the message up from there.
