Not long had an Ipad 3G and using an Xt sim card on there 2Gb/ month post paid plan.
Anyway this morning I was blown away by the speed is was getting using a speed test on it.
D/L at 4.574 Mbps u/l 276 kbps.
As a comparison I run an Iphone 3GS on the Vf network and the results are not comparable to say the least.
Caveat - is that xt is the better network for these devices however.
My location is Te Rapa - Hamilton

Coverage is also an issue with apple products on voda. only thier 2100 network works with these devices which is not nationwide like thier 900 network.

XT on 850 is 97 percent coverage of the population

The Iphone however is notoriously finicky in reception. So perhaps my test is of course not a scientific one,

From what I heard there are documents around confirming the poor performance of iPhone's 2100 MHz side of the radio.

In other words, I would only use one if it was on Telecom XT.
