I have a Nokia E72 connected to the XT network, with a data plan. The phone can access the net, and uses Mail for Exchange to connect to a named exchange server.

Today's mission is to use the E72 as a gateway to connect a laptop to the internet. I think my options are a USB cable and the Nokia PC suite, or a bluetooth connection. I'm trying bluetooth at the moment.

So far, I've entered a bluetooth passcode and been able initiate pairing from the laptop. The laptop shows 6 services on the E72 (1) Data Transfer (2) Dial-up Networking (3) Headset Audio Gateway (4) Imaging (5) OBEX File Transfer (6) OBEX Object Push.

The Dial-up networking opens just like an analogue modem, it's asking for a username, password, and number to dial. What I was expecting was something more like a network connection into the internet via the existing configuration on the E72.

Does anyone have some good hints on what I should be doing. Is bluetooth viable, or should I locate my USB cable and install Nokia PC suite? Is there setup needed on the E72 to define an APN, or is this already done (since I can use the phone to access the internet and exchange server).
