Hello
I have an R6 phone and i have been trying to upload files through the usb cable provided but everytime i push it in, i get an error message saying it cannot find harware or whatever.

I uploaded the cd and it still said the same thing. I have windows seven which is supposed to find and repair hardware faults automatically....

Has anyone else not been able to upload files?

Any help greatly appreciated

Have you checked in device manager for any error codes on that device?

The ports themselves are working.... the message says device driver software was not successfully installed ......

and that it malfunctioned?

then i double click the port and it comes up with

"Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer."

Whenever I try connect my R6 to the computer I get "Unknown Device" in device manager,
and it shows up as "USB\VID_0000&PID_0000\5&1F17F18F&0&1" for a "Device Instance Id", which makes it appear that the phones USB host has ended its life. I went into the Moray Place (Dunedin) Telecom shop, but they wanted to charge me a $150 bond for a loan phone (even though they didn't charge the people next to me, or a friend who was in earlier this month).
It still charges the battery though, so I think the cable is alright (no sign of damage).

Any ideas? And should Telecom charge a $150 bond for a rental? (They said any charges for the repair would be deducted from the $150).

"No drivers are installed for this device.
