I don't know if I've missed an announcement but when did Citylink start peering with Telecom? Previously it'd go int and back

You can't say for sure that they're peering though, they have probably purchased a domestic connection from Telecom. That's the reason that Telecom/TelstraClear turned off their peering, to force people into having to buy domestic circuits from them.

That said, it's possible Telecom are peering again, they certainly have "changed their tune" in the marketplace recently, which I see as a good thing.

Either way, I wouldn't expect Citylink to announce it.

Yes - it does. Citylink uses FX networks for transit for their CDN service. Hop 6 is a FX IP address.
