Hey I bought an OKTA Touch off trade me and it cant be connrcted because it does not have an ESN number in the phone. Press green talk button,menu,device info and ESN says 00000000 instead of 36B1.....
Any idea how to put this back in?

Firmware will need to be reflashed sounds like you purchased a paper weight

Also be aware that Telecom are turning EVDO off in Novemeber, which means that the internet access speed will drop back to basic CDMA, which is more like dial-up.

I expect that there will be a few of these phones for sale in the next few months....

I am currently taking someone to the disputes tribunal (small claims court) because of a faulty laptop i got off TradeMe it costs 30 dollars for claim's under 1000 dollars.

The first thing you do is request the sellers details from Trademe here's a link on how to do that http://www.trademe.co.nz/help/627/taking-a-disputes-tribunal-claim. then you use the details to make the complaint. Remember to bring supporting evidence to court i am still waiting for my court date to come had to wait approximately 3 months still waiting now. I know that we tend to trust in Trademe after all the good experience we have. Sadly the people that use the site sometimes let its credibility down. If i have learnt any thing from my bad experience with the laptop it would be to use Safer Trader when buy things that are worth a lot of money.
