pfffft....as long as their Customer Service via phone is based off-shore in a country where the inhabitants probably speak English as a second language with an accent which is at most times dificult to understand, I simply can not believe they really give a sh*t about Customer Service. So funny.

You are really angry at Telecom - this is not your first post like this...

The fact is that not all of Telecom's customer services are based off shore. I actually visited their call centre in Auckland, at Hereford St, where they provide some of their services to landline customers.

They have a good team there and actually English is their first language.

isn't there something like twitter where you can post useless drivel like this?

how about changing telecommunications providers all together and be done with it, or do you enjoy criticising an ISP in a negative way instead of providing constructive feeback

@ pystol, if your gonna b*** and moan over telecom, do it in one post instead of spreading it over new forum posts 20 minutes apart.

http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=39&topicid=68047

my advice to you would be to send them an email in the customer survey you were sent! aswell as to read this forum!!!
then you would realise not every telco is perfect.

You should switch Telstra and compare the difference in service.

Yes, I do have to read the posts, being the administrator here and all.

The problem is that it seems some of the things in the posts are just wrong information received.

Any time I've had to ring Telecom I've always spoken to someone based in NZ and have always received good service. They even called me recently saying they had noticed I had changed data plans on my mobile a few times over the last several months and were wondering if it was their fault I was changing.

Your posts are pointless pystol. As someone else said, if you're so unhappy change provider. It's not rocket science.

People love to bag Telecom, it has become part of the NZ culture. But I have always found their service superior to any other ISP, and I mean any other ISP. They are quick at replying to emails, and I have never had to wait on hold. They also don't charge extra for phoning their helpdesk if you are on prepay. They have definately improved their service over the last few years.

I always amazes me how people can keep banging on about how bad a company/service is, but then they continue to be a customer. If you don't like it take you business elsewhere, you may find Telecom isn't that bad after all.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

Why do you think they are asking for feedback then?

Are you going to provide feedback about the customer service centres?

If enough people are complaining about a common topic I know Telecom will change to keep their customers or they lose out to their competitors.

Give me a chance. I've got to decide which other ISP is the best 'fire' to jump into. Changing ISPs doesn't have a guarantee of being hassle free and nobody wants to do it every second day. Just because every isp provides crap service doesn't excuse any other from doing the same.

Not true.  I'm with Telecom, and have been for sometime, and have no complaints about their service.  You'll also find plenty of posts from others praising the service of some of the other providers.

Strike 1.  Consider this a warning.  Pull your head in or you're outta here.
