From yesterday I've lost inbound ssl (443) connections? If I restart my router it works for a few minutes but then stops. HTTP and RDP connections still fine, anyone else encountered this?

If it works for a few minutes and then stops it's not going to be the ISP blocking much of anything. I'd be looking at your router first.

Have you called their helpdesk yet?

I've not called them yet. I'll continue to look at it myself, check forums and the like before I talk to Manila.

It's your router most likely. I'm on telecom with static ip and inbound 443 works fine

I don't have a static IP (hence why I was wondering if Telecom deamed SSL a "premium" service and only available to static IP holders.

Note: this has been working for a few years now. I still get inbount HTTP and RDP, it's just the SSL that's not getting through. Checked the Exchange server on the inside of the network and it's fine.

I've just connected via https to a small SBS site connected via a Telecom ADSL connection and no static IP without any problem, so as per earlier posts maybe start with your router.

I wouldnd't be surprised if Xtra is blocking 443 on dynamic. Have you got access to another Router for a test?

As was said earlier, if you're getting thru initially then it's nothing to do with whether you're dynamic or not, if they were blocking it deliberatley you'd never have it work at all.

I like the Netgear DG834 series, probably worth a look.

The culprit has been found. Windows Home Server! Somehow redirected my SSL traffic!

hmmmm, now how do I fix it? port forwarding in the router has not changed, so I can only guess that WHS has created an additonal redirection within the network?

Back on-line. Disable "Remote Access" in WHS and restarted SBS. IPSEC & Exchange service failed to start. Manual start of Exchange service worked but IPSEC did not. Restarted SBS again, manual start of IPSEC first, then Exchange service and we appear to be operational again. What a relief that I don't have to shell out for a new router.
