I see a lot of Chorus vans and people working on road-side cabinets around my area, could that possibly mean I'll be connected to adsl2+ soon?

Telecom wholesale map suggests adsl2+ available from Dec 2010 for my address.
On the other hand, the cabinet migration schedule on the Chorus website has a planned migration date of 08/11/2010 for my cabinet.

Does it look like I'll be getting adsl2+ earlier than expected?
Or is that just the fibre optic cables getting laid?

Hi, the whole process takes quite some weeks if not a month or two, not just a day or two I suggest you just wait till it happens, you will know.

I used to stop every time I saw them in my area and ask if they were working on upgrading or not, they never were and I'm sure they got sick of me lol

I ended up getting upgraded ahead of schedule and never did find anyone who was working on it.

It funny how I never noticed how many cabinets there are.
Counted at least 7 vans just by driving down one street.

They dug a big hole around one of the cabinets and have some blue cables/tubes around.
Meh, at least something is getting done, hopefully something good.

Lucky.

I wish they would bring adsl2+ out here.
